NEWMAN CATHOLIC LIVING COMMUNITY
"They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal life, to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers."
St. John Henry Newman realized that friendship and community were essential to living a Christian way of life—especially for University Students. From the time our first Newman Center was dedicated in 1957, St. Tom’s has offered a residential experience to BGSU students as part of our campus ministry. The Newman Catholic Living Community (formerly known as “Newman Housing”) is an intentional community of believers immersed in a Catholic way of life. We offer affordable housing in twenty-one suite apartments right here at St. Tom’s, right across the street from the BGSU campus. Here, BGSU students opt into an intentional way of life based on four core values: Prayer, Community, Intellectual Growth, and Hospitality.

The Newman Catholic Living Community is an intentional community of believers immersed in a Catholic way of life.
Where are we?
The Newman Catholic Living Community is located across the street from the BGSU Campus at 433 Thurstin Street on the campus of St. Thomas More University Parish. (Right across from McDonald Hall and Dunkin’ Donuts.)
Who is eligible to live here?
Members of the Newman Catholic Living Community must be students actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at Bowling Green State University. Exceptions to the BGSU enrollment requirement are considered by the pastor on a case-by-case basis. While residents are not required to be Catholic, non-Catholic students are still required to live by our core values and abide by the community expectations.
