KOINONIA  (koinəˈnēə)

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him he endured the cross, despising its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God."

Hebrews 12:1-2

Koinonia is the Greek word for “Community,” a concept that was very evident in the faith of the early Church. The term "Koinonia" reflects the Church’s history, fellowship, and support for her members. The Koinonia retreat is a weekend experience in Christian community.

As a college-aged individual, the desire to grow together through community is an important foundation of our faith. Filled with testimonies, discussions, reflections, prayer and celebrations of the Sacraments of Penance and Eucharist, this retreat is an easy way to jump-start relationships that help community growth. Though the retreat is offered from a Catholic perspective, everyone is welcome to attend.
